For those of you with a rooted Nexus 6P you will want to manually update your bootloader, vendor, and radio to MMB29P since you won’t be able to take updates anymore. You will need to do this to install latest custom ROMs like CM13 otherwise you will end up in a nasty bootloop, which happened to me all day yesterday.
So, just do this before you install any of the latest Android 6.0.1 custom ROMs and/or if you end up in a bootloop while installing a custom ROM.
And for those of you not rooted, simply update your OS to latest and you will have the latest MMB29P. You can do this on Windows, Mac, or Linux. For Chromebook, you can grab ADB app for it and use that instead.
Files you will need:
For Windows, you will need to download drivers – Link (no drivers required for Mac or Linux)
Download 6p-mmb29p.zip – Link (this is all else you need for Windows, Mac, and Linux, I’ve included fastboot and mmb29p radio, vendor, and bootloader files here)
Commands you need to type in command prompt/terminal.
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
fastboot flash radio radio-angler-angler-02.50.img
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-angler-angler-02.45.img
chmod 755 *
./fastboot-mac flash vendor vendor.img
